Re-posting today in honour of our Veterans from yesterday and today. Lest we forget.

November 11th is just days away and I find myself thinking about my father and mother. My dad served his country for 32 years in the Canadian Military - Air Force. My mother was a military mom/wife. She supported her country by supporting my dads postings and work obligations, which sometimes took him away from us for periods of time.

When my mother was in school, as a little girl, they had to memorize "In Flanders Fields" and she encouraged my brother and I to memorize it as well. So, I did...my brother was a bit of a rebel....I think he had the first two lines down pat! LOL!! No matter, my brother followed in our father's footsteps and is serving his country in the Air Force right now...so what if he didn't memorize the poem...he has sadly seen some of the worlds strife first hand. I digress: the first card I have to show you today is in memory of my mama and her favourite poem: "In Flanders Fields'
"

This card was made using red cs and Sunshine's Stamps new sentiment "In Flanders Fields". The poppies are free hand drawings that I used black embossing powder in the centre of and the ribbon is from M's.

Here is an interesting little tidbit of information. Robbie and I met some veterans in the mall one day and we bought our poppies for the year. I asked why the centre of the poppy is black and not green and he told us that the symbolism of the poppy is that the red of the poppy stands for the blood that was shed in the field of battle and the black symbolizes that men and women who died for our country in war time and peace. He then told us that those people who put a poppy pin in the centre of the poppy to hold the poppy in place were actually covering the most symbolic portion of the poppy. Just something to think about this Remembrance and Memorial Day.

The second card I made is in honour of my daddy. As I told you he served his country for 32 years proudly. While we were considered to be at peace during his years of service and he was fortunate enough never to see war time (for that we were always grateful) he definitely served Canada proudly.

The colour of Soldier Bunny's cap is blue - signifying Air Force. This bunny is wearing desert CADPAT which is in honor of our men and women serving in Afghanistan...my daddy would have liked that. The card was made using shiny blue cs and dry embossed with the cuttlebug swiss dot folder. The blue ribbon is from Michael's and the Sentiment is one of Sunshine's Stamps new Remembrance Day sentiments.

Now for something a little different. For those of you, who have never heard of him - Terry Kelly is a Canadian Singer who is blind and incredibly talented. His voice is wonderful and of course I have long been a fan. This song that I have attached to this post always makes me cry. I think it's so easy, if you have never experienced war and sacrifice to country first hand, you easily lose track of the significance of this one day of the year. This video shows one man's realization. Get out a tissue...it will make you cry too.

A PITTANCE OF TIME - BY TERRY KELLY

Thank you for taking some time to read my posting. I do apologize for it not being it's usual upbeat Sunshiny happiness...but it needs to be said and to be honoured. I hope you all agree. Go to a veterans home today and take a vet for a walk. Take your dog for a visit to your local seniors home. Go and visit a family member who has served or is serving your country. Take a minute to honour those who are long gone. Sadly, my parents have been gone for a long time, having been taken from us way too early....but they will never be forgotten...I talk to my children about them and keep their legacy alive. LEST WE FORGET!!

SORRY FOR NOT POSTING

Hello to anyone who is still popping by to see what is new...and finding nothing new. I apologize for the lack of postings.

We are taking a hiatus for the summer and are hoping to get back at it in September. For now we are preparing for our boys arrival from PEI this weekend...then our summer can begin.

Our store is still up and running however we are going to be moving soon...well...in September as our host is going to be giving up her website. I will be sure to post our new location once we make the move.

Until then, we are renovating our boys rooms and we are hoping the rain stops and we will have a lovely summer here in Winnipeg.

Our guest designer - Beth - has been busy and look what she created! Hopscotch looks so cute doesn't he?! I think he looks like he "just" did some mischief or he is thinking of pulling a prank! I love the way Beth coloured Hopscotch and those little stars are adorable.

Easter Weekend Creation by Beth

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter Weekend! We had a lovely weekend here in Winnipeg. The weather wasn't quite as warm as we had hoped but there was sunshine and there was that little thing called a LONG WEEKEND!!! Our guest designer - Beth - was a busy beaver this weekend. This is the first of the two cards she made this weekend. I am sharing the first one she made with Tweets with you tonight.

Look at the designer paper she used here and look at the ribbon lacing! I just love it, don't you? Tweets has google eyes which, I am normally not a fan, but because of the chubby cheeks on the images they look just terrific on Tweets. Beth has coloured Tweets perfectly don't you think? The sponging on the edges of the card stock is just perfect with the designer paper too! I hope you like this Tweets card as much as I do, I think its just adorable. We're Starting a New Challenge

We have decided to begin a new challenge over on SNR Card Universe featuring Sunshine's Stamps images....the challenge begins tomorrow.

Here's how it will work...

We are giving away our wreath image right here for free for a limited time to anyone who wants it...of course it would be nice if you actually entered our challenge using the stamp :^D (right click on the image and Save As to your computer and it's yours for all time - remember to credit Sunshine's Stamps for the image any time you use it please.)

The contest will run for 2 weeks to give you all plenty of time to enter

You must use a Sunshine's Stamp image to enter (that's why we are giving the Wreath image away for free - feel free to use it over and over for the challenges until you win an image of your own or you head on over and buy some for your very own)

We ask that you post a link on our challenge page to your image or you can upload to SNR CArd Universe's gallery and then embed the link on our page to show your card - in the comments section...if you aren't sure how to do that just ask and we will walk you through it.

We will be voting to determine the winner of the challenge every two weeks and the winner of this first challenge will get to choose an image of their choice from our store.

The next challenge will be featuring one of our newest images and the winner will receive that new image.

Well, it's been a very trying time for all of us. We have recently experienced the onset of a sudden illness and watched it sadly result in the loss of one of our family members.

Robbie's brother Gary, has passed away after a rather sudden and horrid illness. I can't say conclusively what it was as they didn't conclusively know when he passed away. Sadly, due to work obligations and to be honest, not wanting to be under foot while the family was going through this trying time, I remained in Winnipeg while Rob went to Nova Scotia. I am so thankful he went when he did. It allowed him time with his brother that was sorely needed.

I am so very grateful to my Dream Team members for their wonderful support throughout this time. Robbie is now home (just picked him up at the airport) and we are going to attempt to return to "normal".

Normal, will hopefully include my getting back in my card room and back to our new digital images. We have some super cute Easter images coming your way and I have a few idea's for Mother's Day brewing in my brain.

So, thanks and God Bless to all of our wonderful friends and family who have prayed and sent out positive energy to our family and Gary's family, it was needed and appreciated. Please keep Donna and Matt (Gary's wife and son) in your prayers, their battle for "normal" continues and as any of you who have lost a loved one know; the battle for "normal" can take a long time.

Is this not an awesome "guy" card??!!! It's so difficult sometimes to get the "right" image for "guy" cards because a lot of the images available are so "girlie". We are so fortunate to have Robbie who is our "oh so talented" image designer!! He rocks the masculine images as well as our famous bunnies!!

Debbie's card uses a wonderful layout featuring coordinating colours and masculine dp. I love the use of black as separating layers to highlight the colours in the image and card stock & designer paper (dp).

If you were to make a "guy" card, what type of image would you like to use? Is there a quintessential "masculine" image that you have been dying to see and have never been able to find?? Leave a comment here and we will see what the suggestions are...who knows...maybe you will see your image idea become a reality...and if we use your suggestion..you will get the image for FREE!!

Robbie had some time in his busy schedule to make a few digi's for us recently. One of the new images is this adorable 71 Mustang. We have a great fan who specifically requested the image. Sadly, she requested it a while ago. Between our flood, our renovations from the flood, Robbie's busy work schedule and then we had a catastrophic failure to our primary computer...resulting in a "smokin' new computer" it took Robbie ages to get the image(s) requested finished. But finished they are, and they're a big hit!

Robbie and I have been really busy! It's been a while since we launched some of Robbie's "sunshined" vehicles...so at the request of our good buddy Gunn, Robbie made two muscle cars!

On a personal note, I am happy to share that I finally got a job! We relocated to Winnipeg, MB Canada in July of 2008 and I finally have a job!! PHEW!! Now the fun and time management begins!! LOL!!

I used papers from my new My Minds Eye Christmas paper pad which feature "sleighs" and "snowflakes" both of which fly during the Christmas Season...meeting their additional challenge this week.

Oh, I had a lovely time making this card. I have been so busy with the admin side of the business lately I have not had the time or mojo to play. I do so love the MMSC! I started doing them back when they were in single digits and I have missed participating lately.

I have used multiple papers on this card! There is core'dinations cs in wheat and teal. I have used my brand new Cuttlebug Snow Drops folder to dry emboss the circle. I have heat embossed the lettering on the cocoa mug. The snowflakes are white foam snowflakes from my beloved Dollar Store. I have used my markers to colour them and then added cocoa coloured dew drops to the centers of each. The Cocoa mug has been Diamond Glazed all over.

24 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS DAY 1

TIME TO MAKE THE CHRISTMAS CARDS

Good Evening everyone! I am back!! Sorry to be away for so long! I have been under massive amounts of jobs that needed to be done and guess what??!! They are almost all done!!! I spent most of the day in my card room today and made some awesome creations!!

Among other things we at Sunshine's Stamps have sponsored a fun challenge that started today over at SHOW and TELL CARDS and SCRAP BOOK PAGES

Here are my three entries for todays sketch challenge. I used our newest image "SNOWY" SNOWMAN on these adorable tag cards.

This adorable tag card features Snowy Snowman and our new sentiment "You da Snowman" How cute is this card!?! I used papers from my new My Minds Eye Christmas Paper Pad that I picked up at Winners the other day. The tag cards follow the sketch we were given for Day 1 of the challenge.

This card features the same image and another one of our sentiments "Chill". I used some really cool loopy rainbow ribbon and its pretty cool...to be honest I totally forgot I bought it...I was looking for fibers that might work and dug this out of the back of the drawer...now that I have found it I will be finding other projects to use it on this Christmas...it's so dang pretty...which is of course why I bought it...and paid full price for it onlne!! SHOCK!!! I know, I know! I am the QUEEN of CHEAP so it's a shocker to hear I actually paid full sticker for ANYTHING!!!

I think this is my favourite of the tag cards I made today! I love the colours and that snowflake is from a card of snowflakes I picked up from Walmart for $1.5o a card the other day!!! How beautiful is that snowflake?! The little snowflake on his scarf is from the same card of snowflakes. The sentiment on this one was stamped with STAZON on the ribbon and is from Artful Inkables.

This is a shot of all three together. I am really pleased with these tag cards. I think I will make a few more if I have the time. WARM MITTENS AND SNOW FLAKES

WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS

This is a new idea for me. This card is made using a card blank and stickers! How many stickers do you have in your craft room that you never use? I have a few. These stickers are from Walmart and were a whopping $1.50 a package. I bought a couple of packages and used one package on my dinner plate.

I decided to use the remaining stickers on a clean and simple one layer card. I used 4 mittens I had left over from making my plate and used simple white ribbon to hang the mittens from. The mittens are called "Believe Mitten" and "Snow Mitten" from Sunshine Stamps. They are very versatile for Christmas and winter, alike!

If you click on the picture you will be able to clearly see the adhesive rhinestones on each snowflake and the mittens. I used my Sakura Jellyroll glitter pen to highlight the mittens. The mittens are coloured using my Prismacolour markers. The card is a simple blank with a lovely sheen and weight. Surprisingly enough, I picked them up at my local Dollar Store - 6 for a dollar with envelopes!! (I know this is not a surprise to those of you who frequent my blog...I love the Dollar Store...wait until you see the cutie patootie Christmas bling I picked up at the Dollar Store the other day!!)

The inside of the card is finished using snow flake stickers and two more mittens on the immediate inside of the card and for the sentiment I used Sunshine's Stamps "Merry Christmas" sentiment on a die cut circle that I used my Lagoon Blue Versamark Ink to sponge around the edges.

The ribbon is from Micheal's and is wrapped around the front and inside of the card. I used my Xacto Knife on the seam to make a little slit to slide the ribbon through and the ribbon is finished with a simple knot on the front of the card. The final bit of detail is that the first letter of each word in the sentiment that is capitalized has been highlighted with my Sakura jellyroll pen for a little sheen.

WARM MITTEN WISHES

Here is my third plate! I am so pleased with the results on this one...what do you think?

This plate utilized Sunshine's Stamps "Warm Mitten Wishes" sentiment and the Believe and Snow Mittens (Images to be available in our store on Monday). All of the images were coloured with my Prismacolour Markers and highlighted with my Sakura Jellyroll glitter pen and my white gel pen. The snowflakes are actually stickers that I picked up at Walmart. The green in the background is tissue paper. As with the other plates in the series the design elements were adhered with Mod Podge and sealed with clear water based acrylic.

I am having a wonderful time creating these plates. I know my family is really going to enjoy them this Christmas Dinner. Here are the other two I have made so far. As you can see they are all different. I don't want the set to match, I want it to be totally eclectic and whimsical...just like me and my family! I am going to take a picture of our Christmas dinner table setting to show you how it all looks together.

IN THE MEADOW WE CAN BUILD A SNOWMAN

Here is plate #2!~ I just love the way this one turned out. I used Sunshine's Stamps new image Snowman with Tree and our sentiment "In the Meadow" I coloured the images with my Prismacolour Markers and used my Sakura Jellyroll clear glitter pen on the eyes and buttons on the snowmen. The snowflakes have been touched up with white gel pen as well. Once the images were adhered to the back of the plate with Mod Podge I used Microfine blue glitter all over the back of the plate. I had to do a couple of glitter coats to get even coverage overall. I then used clear water based acrylic all over the back of the plate. I LOVE IT!!! It's so exciting to turn the plate over when its all dry to see what it looks like!!

SUNSHINE'S AFFORDABLE CHRISTMAS DINNERWARE

Hello all: So sorry I haven't posted in ages and ever so long! I have been busy with all manner of flotsam and would love to tell you that I have accomplished great and varied things...but alas I cannot. No matter how many things I begin...nary a one gets finished...what's up with that , I ask you?

I have, however, decided to make myself a set of Christmas dinnerware. I have long coveted those lovely Christmas and winter china patterns so plentiful in the stores this time of year. Sadly, my budget has never allowed for such extravagance. So....I am making myself a set of my very own with my very own images! Plate #1 is complete and ready to show you! Be gentle with me now....this is a new to me thingy and I am sure there are better ways to do it than I have done...but having said that...I am pleased with the end result...I should also mention...these are NOT going to be matching cookie cutter plates. They are going to be individual and original...just like my family members! So without further ado here is plate #1 featuring Sunshine's Stamps newest image - Poinsettia

This all began with a clear glass plate. I printed off the image and coloured them with my Prismacolour Markers and cut them all out. I then, very carefully, split the paper layers so that I was left with a very thin piece of paper to adhere to the glass. I used Mod Podge to position the images and then used gold damask napkins that I stripped down to the thinnest layer and Mod Podged several layers of the napkin to the back of the plate too. Finally I have covered the works with water proof acrylic enamel. While the plates will never be put in the dish washer they can be washed by hand with little soaking.

I am working on plate #2 right now...waiting for glue to dry as we speak. I am hoping to be able to share it with you tomorrow! Share your thoughts on this project with me and let me know if you have done similar things in the past and what little tips and tricks you may have to pass on to me and others.

THREE'S A CHARM BLOG HOP

Welcome to the Three's A Charm Blog Hop to launch the Christmas Season for Sunshine's Stamps, Ildico and The Stamping Boutique. Here are the deets of the blog hop:

Here is a card made with this image. When I drew this image I was thinking of a Christmas card my parents received when I was a little girl. My mother kept it and brought it out year after year at the holidays. We had it until I was in my late teens when it was destroyed by water damage in a basement flood. I think I did my memory justice with this one. Hope you like it.

I used my mystery Christmas paper and some red cs for this card. The image was coloured using my Bics and Sharpies. I used Ranger Embossing Tinsel on the ribbon and Diamond Glaze on the berries. I used my Martha Stewart Branch Punch for added detail to the corner flowers that I picked up at the Dollar Store ages ago. The ribbon is from Michael's.

Now for something a little different. I saw this picture frame at our local Dollar Store (Yup! I love that store!) I just knew I had to use it for our Waving Snowman image.

I used some more of my mystery Christmas dp to double mat the frame and used a spacer between the layers to create space. I coloured the image with my Prismacolour Markers and used some Snow Effects on the image. I added ribbon at the top and bottom of the image and then added some plastic ice crystals picked up at....you guessed it...The Dollar Store!!! I added a white poinsettia, ribbon and snowflakes to the corner of the frame. This little cutey will be front and center this holiday season!

The next project I want to show you, uses our new Christmas Stocking image. The project is actually a mini - album that I will be happy to put candid shots we will be taking over the holidays this year.

I used my Martha Stewart lace punch on the red cs at the bottom of the album and prima flowers on the upper corner and a prima star on the lower corner. In the centre of the flower and on the punched border I used some adhesive red pearls I picked up at the Dollar Store (I think you are seeing the trend here). Now, this dp is actually not a mystery! Shocking huh?!! The paper is from Flair Designs - Merry Little Christmas line - called Candy Twist. The image was colored using my Prismacolour markers.

Next up we have our new Candle and Ornament Arrangement image. I used my Versamark Pen on the lines of the candle and used my Stampendous Pearl Lustre Embossing Powder. I wanted to make the candle look waxy - I think it worked. What do you think? I also wanted to demonstrate how a digital image can be embossed.

It's difficult to see but the ornaments have been glazed using Diamond Glaze and the berries in the main holly are actual berries from a cluster on a branch I picked up at the Dollar Store tonight. (I know...my secret is out...I {HEART} the Dollar Store!! LOL!! The ribbon is from Michaels and the dp is another piece from Flair Designs, Merry Little Christmas Collection - called Merry Berries. The leaves are from the same holly branch I scavenged the berries from.

The final project I had time to create is a calendar using our Snacks for Santa image.

I used red cs and more mystery dp on this one. The image and calendar are propped up on a base I made using the red cs.

The calendar is super stable and will definitely not fall over. I used prima flowers in the corner with red adhesive pearls. to accent. The ribbon is from Micheal's and the clip in the corner is from...you guessed it...the Dollar Store! Maybe I need a Dollar Store intervention! What do you think??!!

CHRISTMAS CRAFTING BEGINS!!

Here is an oldie but a goodie for you all to look at while I prepare all of the awesome new cards and projects for the Three's a Charm Blog Hop this weekend!

This is Angus Argus all decked out for Christmas! This is to show how completely versatile digital images are!

Angus has been tricked out in red and green for the holidays! He has a wreath on his tail and he is working for Elf Airlines! Isn't he the cutest?

The sentiment is computer generated. I used my cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss the red cs behind Angus. The dp is from a block my hubby bought me for Christmas last year. I didn't think to keep the block together back then, so I can't tell you who created the adorable paper, but I still like it a lot!

Here are some projects I made featuring our new images being released today!

These two items are featuring our FREE AUTUMN WREATH. The first is a pillar candle that I attached the wreath to. Now, I have had this lovely candle for 3 years! I have no intention of burning it, so the paper wreath image is not a fire hazard and it makes a beautiful Autumn accent in my living room! The card is made to look like a front door...how'd I do? I wanted it to look like a front door with a mail slot. I just love this wreath...it was such fun to design and draw. I wanted a wreath that could be used for the entire Fall Season as we call it here in Canada...by times! LOL!!

Remember, you can have this wonderful wreath for yourself with the purchase of any two images, including sentiments, from our e-store!

Now for some new Images!! Here are two cards made featuring our new Sunflower Spray image. Hope you like them!!

This card was made using our Sunflower Spray and our new sentiment "Giving Thanks". I also used my Autumn Embossing Folder for this one!

The second card is also featuring the Autumn Cuttlebug Embossing Folder with our new Sunflower Spray image. I also used my Thanks a Bunch sentiment from TAC. You will notice this beautiful gold ribbon on a lot of my cards and projects today...the ribbon was wrapped around my birthday present this year and it is such a lovely compliment to the Autumn colours I decided to use it on as many of my cards and projects as possible and managed to use every last spec of it!! Don't you just love it when you can use it all?!!

How about a FUN Image?? How about Boo Pumpkin?!!

Boo Pumpkin is sitting on a bed of candy corn...don't you just love Candy Corn??!! The Spooky is actually a foam stamp from the Dollar Store and I have covered it in micro fine pale yellow glitter.

Check this out!! These guys are really fun!! Let me introduce you to Bubba Bunny and Bite Me! Candy Corn!!

Look at those Candy Corn!! They look very scaaawed!! Bubba apparently likes to take nibbles out of all of them!!

Now, to top off the cute meter, I am happy to introduce you to and Candy Corn GhostSmiley Candy Corn! They are just off the cute meter!!

I had a little bit of fun with this one! I made a floral bow and attached the tiniest blue rhinestones to it. The Candy Corn are scattered all over as our friendly ghost plays with a string of candy corn! The sentiment is from our sentiment line as well! This one will be hard to mail with the big bow, so I'll have to give it to someone close to home! Hmmm...I wonder who the lucky recipient will be?

So, you've been reading this for a while now...sorry for being so wordy! How about a slice of pie? This image is called, surprisingly, Pumpkin Pie! Pretty imaginative, huh?! LOL!

This one includes the recipe!! Don't you just love those buttons and that ribbon? The recipe is my mother's and the ribbon reminds me of those kerchiefs worn back in the day!!

Now, here are the final projects I had fun with today. One is an ALTERED JOURNAL featuring our new Sunflower Frame and a new sentiment not yet in our store!! I am planning on working on this journal a little more; on the inside. My BFF in PEI is a Journal FREAK!! This is going to be part of her Christmas present...shhh...don't tell her! LOL!! She rarely comes to my blog because she is so busy...so I think the secret is safe!! The other is a matching ALTERED NOTE PAD that features our AUTUMN WREATH.

Golly, is that enough information??!! Here are a couple more pics of my mini-clipboard project featuring our Autumn Wreath!! This little clipboard has magnetic strips on the back so I can stick it to the fridge or my filing cabinet and have a calendar to refer to for the month!

The calendar is from SCS and the sentiment is one of our new sentiments! It's an original sentiment written by moi!! I used Micheal's Autumn Leaf brads on the corner of the calendar. The calendar and sentiment have all been sponged with Memento Dew Drops - Cantaloupe, Potters Clay and Rich Cocoa. The ribbon is from my birthday present!! LOL!! and the designer paper is from K&Co. It's hard to tell in the pictures but the wreath is paper pieced and raised on dimensionals.

I am posting this image to show you all that a digital image doesn't have to be an actual Halloween image, but an image coloured to suit a Halloween Card. For this card I created the spider paper on the computer and then printed Angus Argus on the paper. I paper pieced the brighter orange pieces of the airplane.

I am so proud~! I can hardly stand it!! One of our awesome design team members...and we have changed their name from being the Sunshine Gals to being Sunshine's Dream Team for a couple of reasons...One...they are our Dream Team..their work is amazing, creative and inspiring AND we have an open Design Team call out right now for anyone interested in joining our wonderful team! It occurred to us, that there are more and more gents out there joining our crafting world and showing off their considerable skills, so having the word gals in our title limited us...so SUNSHINE'S DREAM TEAM it is!!

I digress....one of our own has been recognized for her talents a couple of times this month! The first recognition is so fabulous! I want to shout it from the rafters!! Our own Kymie is going to be PUBLISHED!!! You read that right!! PUBLISHED by Scrapbook News and Review!! We cannot show her card because it has had to be removed from all galleries and blogs prior to their release in the publication!!! How exciting is that!!

Kymie's second recognition from her peers, was that her recent work for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge has resulted in her card being chosen for her to be a Spotlighted in the MMSC upcoming BLOG HOP!! How outstanding is that!!?? I am so dang proud of her!! Here is the card that stood out for her to be chosen to be Spotlighted!!

Of course Kymie's work has long been outstanding, but it was a really proud and happy moment that the card that stood out to the folks at MMSC was one featuring our own Ref Rodney and Fumble!!

Hi All:

Here is a new card I made featuring ©Ref Rodney and ©Fumble our newest digital stamp images from our brand new ©Sports Stuff line of digital images. I have created a football field on plain computer paper and backed it with layering weight black card stock. The background has been cuttlebug'd to look like the "skin" of a football...cool huh??!! I then simply added ©Ref Rodney and ©Fumble to the layout. The sentiments are from my stash of TAC stamps and suited this card perfectly. Hope you like it and can imagine some ways you could use ©Ref Rodney and ©Fumble on your cards and paper projects this fall!

WHO WANTS TO PLAY SOME FOOTBALL?

Well it is New Release Tuesday and surprise, surprise...it's still Tuesday...OK do there are only 22 minutes left of Tuesday but it's still Tuesday!!! I have been really busy this week. This has been quite a week of sketching for our upcoming blog hop and this weeks new images.

I decided to focus on the season...the FOOTBALL SEASON that is!!! I have sketched two new images for release today and of course we have a new addition to our ©High Flyer Series. Without further ado here are this weeks new images...

Remember now, I live in Winnipeg, MB where they apparently have the slowest postal service known to mankind..so I have no idea how long it will take for them to get these cards to your post boxes. Our "Oh so tired of his job." - Sanitary Waste Truck. We have had so many requests for a garbage truck...it's actually hard to count how many people have asked for this. It took a while to take something so mundane and stark looking and make him whimsical. I think Robbie succeeded. What do you all think?? I am so excited to find out what sentiments will be used with this image...I suspect there will be ***spew alerts*** associated with this guy!!!

What do I think when I look at Lester? I think mayo, celery and a Maine Hotdog Bun! LUNCH! OK - so I am craving lobster! Can't you see this guy on the beach or sitting under a beach umbrella? Purchasing digital stamps is easy and saves you money! There is no need to jump in the car and go shopping. Just click and download for INSTANT gratification!!

Digital stamps take up no valuable real estate in your stamp room and lets face it we are all running short on space in there!

Printing digital images is easy and you can print them as many times as you like for as many projects as you like!

While your download will never expire, you may boo boo and delete your original image in error. {Hey! It happens to the best of us!} You will always be able to re-download your image from the link we sent you in the e-mail when your initially purchased your image.

Digital images are just as fun and excited to colour as stamped images. The bonus's are pretty great though. If you happen to be one of the lucky ones with a page printer {laser printer} you may find that you need to heat set your images with your heat gun to prevent smearing. You can use your favourite medium to colour your digital images and once you are comfortable playing with digital images you can combine them digitally to create your own scenes.

My wonderful hubby, Robbie {aka Sunshine's DH} and I have been long been looking for something to do together as a business. After a lot of prodding and, need I say it, nagging I got him to try to make a digital stamp for me. The rest, as they say, is history!

Robbie is an artist in his own right. He is a well known aviation and railroad artist with a love of all big machines that move! With his incredible talent and my cuteness meter we have managed to create a line of digital stamps that hold broad appeal and interest for manly men and those man cubs we all know and love.

©Angus Argus was introduced to the stamp world on June 27th, 2009 and we haven't looked back since! We plan to continue to produce masculine lines of images and to continue to evolve to include not so masculine images created by me!! We want to take this opportunity to forever thank you for your patronage; past, present and future. Now....lets get inky!!!
